5th World Summit on Media

In March 2007, WAFF was invited to present at The 5th World Summit on Media for Children in Johannesburg, South Africa, focusing on media as a tool for global peace and democracy. The Summit brought together children and adults from all over the world who are using media to promote literacy, gender equality, independent thought, environmental responsibility and global health, while also amplifying children’s voices and cultures. WAFF President, Nancy Hunt, spoke on the idea of “we are family,” as well as the impact of We Are Family: A Musical Message for All children’s educational DVD.
