6th Annual Celebration Gala

On April 28, 2008 WAFF held its 6th Annual Gala Celebration at the Hammerstein Ballroom, raising more than $1.2 million for its global programs! It was an unforgettable night, filled with amazing performances and phenomenal honorees. Deepak Chopra, M.D. was presented with the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Peacemaker Award, Patti LaBelle with the WAF Humanitarian Award, and Henry Juszkiewicz with the WAF Visionary Award. Performances included Patti LaBelle, Micky Dolenz of the Monkees, Eric Benet, Slash and CHIC. Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash also reunited as the Labelle girls, performing their legendary "Lady Marmalade." Thanks to everyone who came out to support WAFF!
