As an entrepreneur in the international digital media sector, Denzyl has worked for Apple as a strategic consultant in music and digital media since 2001, having a hand in landmark developments such as the iPod Launch, the US iTunes launch in 2003 and the global success of iTunes ever since. He is also one of the architect’s of the iTunes festival, now in its 9th successful year.Denzyl was the founder and CEO of AWAL (Artists Without A Label) in 1997, which is a pure-play digital music label representing over 10,000 artists. This led to Buzzdeck, the music analytics company that spun out of AWAL as it was acquired by Kobalt Music. Buzzdeck was also recently sold to a Global Music company. As CEO of Next Step Inc., Denzyl continues to advise, mentor and work with global brands from; Nest, Dropcam, Kano, MusiXmatch, Roli, B&W, Diesel, Coca-Cola to Burberry, and a diverse roster of personalities, artists, developers and creatives.
