Acclaimed musician, human rights activist, actor and radio host, Steven Van Zandt is a founding member of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band as well as a noted solo artist, record producer and songwriter. As President of Artists United Against Apartheid, Van Zandt helped to spearhead the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa with the highly successful "Sun City" project, and in 1985 he established the Solidarity Foundation to work for the rights of indigenous peoples. The United Nations has honored him twice for his human rights achievements. Today, Van Zandt hosts his weekly syndicated radio show, Little Steven's Underground Garage, and created and programs two formats on Sirius Satellite Radio, the Underground Garage channel and the Outlaw Country channel. Little Steven's Underground Garage now reaches 1.2 million listeners in North America and airs internationally via the Voice of America.
