BRETT SCHILKE
Brett is the Director of Impact at Singularity University, leading global impact strategy and partnerships ranging from education to nuclear threat reduction. He leads Singularity University’s K12 education initiatives and speaks regularly around the world on the future of learning and building communities of action. Prior to joining SU, Brett spent a decade in international development as the head of an education and civil society NGO working in rural Russia on projects in education, healthcare, social services, and chemical weapons deconstruction. He served as adjunct faculty in community development at a private university in Siberia and has published research on the evolution of human psychology through periods of social change.
Committed to building tools that help people craft better futures, Brett launched the City X Project, an innovation and problem solving curriculum for kids that’s used in over 75 countries (and in space!). He has designed immersive learning experiences for the United States Congress and the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education, and currently leads the Future of Work Task Force for the G20 Engagement Group on Youth. Brett also co-leads the global AntiMondays dinner series, producing tools for communities to shape the narrative of the world we want to live in. Along the way, Brett has made second homes in the middle of Siberia and in the mountains of Transylvania. (Yes, the former gets cold. No, the latter does not have vampires.) He loves to feed people, tell stories, and gives far more high-fives than he probably should.
