CHELSEA PETERS

As Chief of Regional Strategy & Operations, Chelsea oversees all 9 UNICEF USA offices across the country and is leading an organizational transformation to a regionalized operating model.  With over 180 Regional Board members nation-wide and more than 50 staff under her leadership, Chelsea is responsible for optimizing UNICEF USA’s presence in key growth markets and driving fundraising and engagement goals.

In her former role, Chelsea was Chief of Staff of UNICEF USA, providing strategic leadership and support to the President & CEO.  Chelsea managed the National Board of Directors, led executive communications, and worked with key constituents to raise vital financial and public support for UNICEF.  Before joining the President’s Office, Chelsea was in Development, stewarding philanthropic individuals and helping to scale UNICEF’s Next Generation program.  She has traveled extensively for UNICEF, leading partner field visits to see UNICEF’s impact first-hand in Nepal, Mozambique, Ethiopia, India, South Sudan, South Africa, Jamaica, Guatemala , Mexico, Senegal and Haiti. Before joining the UNICEF USA family, Chelsea started her own business teaching English in Paris, France and led educational trainings for youth.  Chelsea has been selected to Fortune's Most Powerful Women Next Gen and is a Three Dot Dash Mentor for global teen entrepreneurs. She studied at the SIT Institute in Geneva, Switzerland and received her BA from Bucknell University.  She played NCAA Division I lacrosse and is a Board Member of the Lacrosse Business Network.
