TODD SCHOBEL

Founder, CEO and President, STOPit

Todd is the Founder, CEO and President of STOPit and is responsible for the company’s overall vision and strategy. Perpetually driven by his commitment toward ending cyber abuse and harassment across the globe, Todd’s passion began after hearing the harrowing story of teen cyberbullying victim, Amanda Todd. The tragic details of the 15-year-old's suicide, brought on by online predation and the cruel taunting of her peers, charged Todd into action and the seed of STOPit was planted.

Todd believed that in order to make an impact, his solution had to empower our youth to affect societal change with the very same technology that was being used to inflict hurt online. Giving kids a powerful tool that provided trusted adults a "window" into their virtual world enabling adults to be proactive instead of reactive… seeing the smoke before there is fire!

Now, STOPit’s anonymous reporting and messaging technology is transforming the way the entire world reports, deters and mitigates inappropriate and illegal behavior in education, corporations and government. We are helping create safer and smarter places for people to live, work and learn.

Prior to founding STOPit, Todd served as the Founder and President of Phoenix Venture Group. At PVG he provided a variety of consulting services in the areas of business development, marketing, and direct sales. Todd helped clients secure relationships with Fortune 500 companies including Google, Johnson & Johnson, AIG, Viacom and Dun & Bradstreet.
