JARED YARNALL-SCHANE

Jared Yarnall-Schane is the Program Director of Thought For Food, a nonprofit organization that engages and empowers next generation leaders to feed 9+ billion people by the year 2050. TFF reaches around 3,000 youth from 120 countries every year, and has catalyzed the launch of 35 social ventures tackling food insecurity. Jared is the founder of a social enterprise in rural Kenya focused on food preservation, and one in the US focused on hydroponic and aquaponic urban agriculture. He believes that youth empowerment and strong, intentional communities are the key towards creating a happier and healthier world. Jared earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, and is currently enrolled in University of Pennsylvania’s executive certificate program in social impact strategy. Jared leads a hiking Meetup group and loves to spend any of his freetime outdoors.
