JENNIFER PAPROTNA
Jennifer is the Senior Strategic Alliances Officer at Water.org. Based in the New York City area, Jennifer builds partnerships with foundations, corporations, and individuals to fuel Water.org’s programs to bring household water and sanitation access to families around the world. She has been in global development for 15 years, working as both an advocacy and policy officer and now in development partnerships, both in Washington, DC and New York. At RESULTS, Jennifer led advocacy to Congress, the Administration, and the World Bank on global microfinance and Education For All, and supported efforts to combat tuberculosis. Understanding the importance of funding to fuel social and system change, she moved into fundraising with RESULTS, leading individual donor and grassroots efforts, and then Grameen America as director of major gifts, and now Water.org. Her work has given her the privilege to visit countries in Asia and Africa to learn and listen to people impacted by global development challenges. She’s a graduate of Georgetown University and the George Washington University. In her free time, she loves to explore places near and far, and she spends as much time as possible in nature, hiking and camping in the mountains and exploring the world below water as a PADI-certified diver. She volunteers at the local animal shelter and spoils her rescue dog Zelda. She’s also an avid backyard city gardener and can’t stop bringing home more plants than she and her husband have room for inside.
