Project: To The Streets

Inspired by the #TakeItToTheStreetsMW protest in March 2020, Diana started To The Streets as a project that uses visual storytelling to highlight and celebrate the advocacy work being done by Malawian feminists online and beyond. As a digital content creator she is passionate about digital storytelling with a special focus on sharing the African perspective.

What new perspectives does To The Streets offer? 

Through this project, we would like to focus on documenting the feminist movement, something that has not been formally done for the feminist movement in Malawi. We want to preserve and tell history in ways that celebrate the progress but also highlight the opportunities for us all to get involved in creating a more equitable environment in our country.
