Project: Projeto Vulva Negra
Founded by Yasmin in 2018, Vulva Negra is the first materialist-based, antiracist feminist project in Brazil. The project shares knowledge about ethnic-racial issues and issues related to female oppression that affect the life experience of Black women in Brazil and other parts of Latin America. As an essentially feminist and antiracist initiative, it is based on the intellectual production of Black women and uses their visibility to amplify Brazilian Black and female narratives. The project uses feminist theory and political action in combination with ethnic-racial studies.

How has Projeto Vulva Negra addressed systemic racism and inequity in Brazil?
The Vulva Negra project, since the year 2018, has fostered important discussions regarding ethnic-racial issues and women's rights in Brazil and has been involved in campaigns for the cause of protecting women, such as the hashtag #GravidezAosDezMata and so many others. Directly, the project maintains a platform of articles, free live stream lessons about activist themes, courses and also has sporadic educational partnerships with schools and universities in order to bring these themes to a larger number of people.
