DR. SUSANNE CAPPENDIJK

Dr. Susanne Cappendijk is a broad, strategic, creative and visionary thinker poses “big picture” questions focused on an entire organization or system impact and not just in the context of her own personal situation. Susanne is a talented neuroscientist with in-depth expertise in pharmacology, an entrepreneur, a proven global healthcare commercialization consultant, and a successful business and financial executive with a private software company, Genivia, Inc.

This unique and diverse skillset, combined with Susanne’s make-it-happen-now attitude, propels her to consistently exceed normal professional expectations, as demonstrated by her extensive business incubator and non-profit organization community leadership, such as in Who We Play For.

Through her deep passion for science and business building, Susanne designed Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) curricula infused with principles of Art: STEAM.  Her major program competitive advantage is fully engaging and connecting K-12 students with community leaders and businesses.  Through leadership learning experiences her program integrates and applies real-life STEAM principles with the goal of explicitly improving two-way communication between our socio-economic community and our next STEAM workforce generation.

Since relocating to NYC, Susanne founded EDsnaps, a not-for-profit organization that educates students to create personal narratives, which instantly raises the students’ Holistic Review Profile for postsecondary STEAM college or vocational career application to the next professional level. Susanne holds a BS in Biology, Utrecht University, a PhD in Pharmacology, Erasmus Medical University, Rotterdam, both obtained in The Netherlands. She also received an MBA from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.
