KRISTA RAPPOCCIO

Krista works at the intersection of social justice, education and sports. Currently serving as the Senior Education Manager of Move United, an organization focused on providing national leadership for individuals with disabilities through participation in sport, Krista brings transformative and innovative solutions to the adaptive sports industry in order to advance the development of inclusive, accessible and equity driven outcomes nationwide. Throughout her career, Krista has partnered with numerous local, national and global organizations including Global Kids, The Gilder Lehrman Institute, Hunter College, Goethe-Institut, The National World War II Museum and the Wallace Foundation to better outcomes for all learners. Krista, through her time coaching, also is committed to the advancement in sport for students with disabilities and in 2018, Krista was named the Public School Athletic League’s Outstanding Female Coach. Krista started her career as a Social Studies teacher with the New York City Department of Education. She has worked in a multitude of specialist positions including Instructional Coach, Professional Development Director and Testing/Assessment Coordinator. Krista holds a certificate in School Building Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, a Master’s in Education from Hunter College and both a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Bachelor of Arts in History from Quinnipiac University.
